Sheng­ping ­Theater in Jiu­fen (photo by Lin Min-hsuan)

Now reopened, the renovated Sheng­ping ­Theater in Jiu­fen retains the retro ambience of half a century ago. The nostalgic images that appear on the screen take visitors to a simpler time in the past, evoking the atmosphere of Jiu­fen’s glory days as a prosperous mining town.
