Sunrise at the Twin Hearts Fish Weir, Qimei Township, Penghu (Luo Shujiao)

Stone fish weirs are tidal fish traps built by piling up rocks to make curving walls. When the tide is high, seawater covers the stone walls and allows schools of fish to enter, but when the tide recedes the fish are caught within the rock barriers. With the rising sun just making its appearance, the Twin Hearts Fish Weir is transformed into a romantic setting.
